El ICS-115A se puede utilizar como una unidad independiente o como un módulo deslizable en el chasis del convertidor de medios PLANET (chasis MC-700 y MC-1500). El chasis de medios puede ayudar a proporcionar alimentación de CC al ICS-115A y puede montarse en un riel DIN o en la pared para un uso eficiente del espacio del gabinete, sin necesidad de reemplazar el equipo serial y el sistema de software existentes.
