El IPOEE174 se puede instalar fácilmente mediante Plug and Play. Se utiliza entre un equipo de fuente de alimentación (PSE) y el PD. El IPOEE174 inyecta energía al PD sin afectar el rendimiento de la transmisión de datos. El IPOEE174 ofrece una solución rentable y rápida para duplicar el rango estándar de PoE de 100 a 200 metros. El IPOEE174 está diseñado en una caja compacta que contiene 5 puertos RJ45, de los cuales 1 puerto 'PoE IN' funciona como entrada PoE (datos y alimentación) y 4 puertos 'PoE OUT' en el otro lado funcionan como salida PoE (datos y alimentación).
